Overview

The Aviat Networks ProVision Plus is Aviat’s next generation management and application platform, designed from the ground up to minimize the total cost of ownership and maximize the intelligence and flexibility of modern complex microwave networks. ProVision Plus is designed to be open and programmable to enable custom built applications to automate the microwave lifecycle.

ProVision Plus is an easy to use web-based system accessed via modern web browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. No client application installation is required, minimizing deployment and support cost. Multiple server deployment options are available. Provision Plus is designed for premise deployments and compliments AviatCloud for cloud-based installations.

Courses are conducted by AVIAT expert trainers in a mentoring environment backed by their deep technology expertise and experience in implementation of microwave wireless and IP/MPLS networks.

  • Participants must complete ProVision System Overview e-learning course
  • Participants should have knowledge and experience in the areas of network operations fundamentals and telecommunications fundamentals.
  • The student will need a Notebook computer with an Ethernet port and running on one of the following Operating Systems:
    • Windows XP Pro
    • Windows Vista
    • Windows 7
    • Windows 2003 Server
    • Windows 2008 Server

Upon successfully completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Installation and configuration of ProVision Plus software
  • Basic diagnostics, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of microwave network elements using ProVision plus EMS
  • Setup users and administer features for fault management, configuration management and reporting
  • Monitoring MPLS networks

  • Session will be conducted by an Aviat Certified Trainer
  • Multiple sessions of 2-or 3-hours maximum depending on the course curriculum & standard duration
  • Real-time video conference sessions to be scheduled according to your availability
  • Maximum 8 students per WebEx session
  • Trainer will have direct access to equipment setup in a lab environment for demonstration
  • For dedicated sessions, shipment of equipment to your site for hands on time (optional)
  • Real-time equipment configuration demonstration from the trainer
  • All students will have real-time video interaction with trainer for question and answers
  • All students will receive Certificate of Completion

Additional information

  • Internet access
  • All students need an IBM (Windows) computer and they need administrative rights.

There are 3 programs students need to run and they will need administrative rights to install these 3 programs.

  1. WebEx:  they will need to run WebEx to do the virtual class (VILT). This can surely be done on a non-Windows computer such as a Mac, but they will need to have administrative rights to install it. This is the absolute minimum to do VILT.
  2. Pulse Secure: to do labs they will need to install the Pulse Secure VPN client to connect to our San Antonio lab. The software we give them for this is Windows-based so they will need a Windows computer with administrative rights to install and run this.
  3. Portal: they will need to install Portal to do the labs once connected to the VPN. Portal is also Windows-based, so they will need the Windows computer with administrative rights.
